"Again, 'L'insoutenable légèreté de l'être' (生命又不能承受之轻)" and "Mad Woman's Diary" (新狂人日记) stand as web3.0 art series, a fusion of Hedy Zhang's hand-drawn animations and calligraphy. These creations serve as narrative vessels, reimagining Hedy's personal encounters and empathetic observations of her friends' struggles. The 90's generation, often equated to the 'MadWoman,' underwent experimental testing during China's educational transformation. This series, however, confronts harsh realities: violence, racism, infidelity, assault, danger, control, divorce, body image, isolation, and alienation in women's lives. These stories aren't cheerful; they are harsh and cruel. Yet, through eerie humor, unsettling fears, and an embrace of tender love, Hedy seeks to console both her audience and herself. Simultaneously, she employs her art to clandestinely combat the eerie and absurd ordeals women face, creating a language of resilience and defiance."
